Charlotte Corday This is my real favorite character in "The Eight." I love the book version. Marat's killer is in reality but not in fiction. The chapter on the death of Marat is worth reading.
Jacques-Louis David : uncle of one of the stars and in reality a painter tied to the French Revolution. A highlight of this character in real life was a friend of Marat and Robespierre not only as it does in the novel.
One part of the novel that most horses are closely reality and fiction is when you see this artist portraying her niece and companion of this in the central action of "The Rape of the Sabines " .
Ironically, of course, who is also the author of "Death of Marat."
